These fixtures were designed during the 1997 restoration to complement the architectural style of the space and to provide an up-light system to illuminate the extremely ornate ceiling. Mary Brooks Holmes Lounge in Stephen Ridgley Hall at Washington University in St. Louis was designed by the architectural firm Cope & Stewardson of Philadelphia and built in 1900.
Brauer Hall at Washington University in St. Louis was designed in the Collegiate Gothic style. It opened in 2010 to accomodate the Department of Energy, Environmental & Chemical Engineering (EECE) and as additional research space for the International Center for Advanced Renewable Energy & Sustainability (I-CARES) and the Department of Biomedical Engineering.
