The monumental cast bronze exterior standards were replicated from original drawings and molds taken from the standards outside the Minnesota Judicial Center.  The bottom section was enlarged to fit the scale of Northrop Hall where the standards are displayed. All of the pieces were cast using the “lost wax” method.  Each standard is twelve feet tall and weighs in excess of 1,500 lbs.

 

SLALCO was onsite to deliver and supervise the installation of these units as well as the restoration of other exterior and interior lighting.
